Start Demonstrating the Value of Training
This month I will assist attendees in designing and developing methods of evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
End-of-course assessments and surveys are the traditional method for evaluating training courses. Unfortunately, they are seriously flawed and fall way short of providing the information needed to demonstrate your training's value (and yours!) to the organization.
Join me for an hour of discussion on how you can increase the effectiveness of your training and start demonstrating the value of training and of YOU! I will follow the discussion with thirty minutes for questions and answers.
I will be sharing forms and templates you can use immediately back on the job along with numerous tips that you can start using immediately.
I am Kirkpatrick Certified Bronze and have effectively used the methods and information I will share to surprising results.
This session will be online and you will be provided the access information upon registration.
You won't want to miss this session. I look forward to seeing you online.

How to Create an Online Class Using Free or Low Cost Resources:
A One Day Hands-On Workshop
Who should attend this course: Online course designers, developers, and those who wish to develop their skills in online or blended courses, but lack a big budget with which to make this happen.
Trainers, Instructional Designers, and Developers:
• Are you designing or delivering online courses?
• Are you a trainer or curriculum designer with little or no budget?
• Would you like some ideas for producing courses on a skeletal budget with easy to obtain, low-cost, or no cost resources?
This one-day, hands-on workshop is being presented by Mike Hodge, seasoned trainer and online course designer/developer.
Mike has developed this course to meet a need that ATD Sacramento has heard repeatedly from its members. Many trainers and instructional designer/developers have said, “We want and need to produce web-based training, but we don’t have the funding to purchase software like Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, or Adobe Captivate.”
In this course, you will learn how to take advantage of the many free (or low-cost) programs available for developing websites, producing videos, developing quizzes and surveys, and for managing the learning environment (Learning Management System or LMS).
Participants will be introduced to several software platforms and applications for:
• Hosting a class (Quia, Wix, and Google) and
• Supporting online training and evaluations (Quia, Google Forms, Picasa; Doodle, Survey Monkey, etc.)
