How to Use a Hackathon to Unleash Employee Creativity and Innovation

LinkedIn has done it. Facebook has done it. Microsoft has done it.  And their employees are excited to participate in it.

What is it?

It’s a Hackathon!

An employee hackathon is a fast-paced, fun, and highly engaging activity. Unlike brainstorming, hackathons take you one step further—by generating potential solutions to a particular challenge.  Companies such as LinkedIn and Microsoft have used hackathons to find creative HR solutions and improve employee engagement.

Join Pi Wen Looi, PhD., in this highly interactive session to learn:

  • The secrets for running a successful hackathon
  • How to manage employee expectations
  • How to synthesize results and select the best solution

You will have a chance to hack one of the 5-8 key organizational challenges submitted by our community. (See how to submit ideas below)

If you are a learning and development professional, HR leader,  employee communication professional, or curious individual who wants to see how a Hackathon works, this workshop is for you.

You will experience how to hack, not simply learn how to run a hackathon.

Don’t wait, sign up today! Breakfast is included in the registration.

How to Submit Your Ideas

What learning and development or talent management related challenge does your organization face that you would like to hack? Submit your idea here

We will also be getting input from our Chapter members during our August events.
